To get to destinations in Tokyo by car from Haneda Airport There are four major routes to get to Tokyo by car.

  • (1) Take the Metropolitan Expressway Bay Shore Route from the Haneda Airport Entrance and then take the Metropolitan Expressway Route No. 1 Haneda line, No.11 Daiba Line, or No.9 Fukagawa line to go to central Tokyo
  • (2) Take the Metropolitan Expressway Route No.1 Haneda Line from the Airport-west Entrance to go to central Tokyo
  • (3) Take the Metropolitan Expressway Kanagawa Route No.1 Yokohane Line from the Haneda Entrance to go to Yokohama
  • (4) If taking regular roads, take Loop Road No. 8 from the airport terminal and then take Route 357 to Tokyo

*Options (1), (2) and (3) require expressway tolls.
Option (4) does not require tolls.

To get to destinations in Tokyo by taxi from Narita International Airport

Several taxi companies offer services at Narita International Airport. To take a taxi, board at the taxi stand at the airport. Standard fares to destinations in Tokyo range from 16,000 yen to 22,000 yen, plus expressway tolls.
Some taxi companies adopt a zone fare system, where destinations are divided into zones, each with a uniform fare. The meter is not used. Standard fares under the zone system range from 16,000 yen to 22,000 yen, plus expressway tolls.
There also are omnibus taxi services, using nine-seat mini-van vehicles, about once an hour. The taxis go to Tokyo and Chiba, with standard fares from 3,500 to 5,000 yen, using a zone fare system. Passengers should buy tickets to their destinations at the Green Port Agency (GPA) counter before getting into a taxi. The omnibus taxi service is convenient for people loaded with heavy baggage, since omnibus taxis offer door-to-door service unlike buses, which stop only at bus depots. To get to destinations in Tokyo by car from Narita International Airport

There are three major routes to get to Tokyo by car.

  • (1) Leave airport through Gate 2 and get directly on Route 295
  • (2) Leaving the airport through Gate 1 or Gate 2 and getting on the Shinkuko Expressway via the Shinkuko IC and then change to the Higashi-Kanto Expressway via the Narita IC
  • (3) Leave the airport through Gate 1 or Gate 2 and take the Shinkuko Expressway via the Shinkuko IC and change to Route 295 via the Narita IC

*Options (2) and (3) require expressway tolls.
Option (1) does not require tolls, since it uses regular roads.

* Terminal 3 is not open to passenger vehicles.
